Introducing Erik on trumpet!
Erik has been playing trumpet in Seattle since the mid 90’s when he moved to the area to study
music at UW. He immediately fell in love with the local music scene, performing and studying with several of the musical greats of the region. As well as stints with blues and punk bands,
Esvelt became involved with the jazz scene, performing extensively with saxophonist Gary Hammon. Previous projects include studio sessions with alternative rock and jazz big bands,
and an album by the Hammon Esvelt Quintet, Slightly In the Tradition, released in 2011.
